Delete your account and data

Colors (Android package com.janus.colors) offers optional accounts for cloud saving. You can request account deletion here even if you no longer have the app installed. Guest users have no Colors account; their artwork and reflections are stored on their device.

Request deletion by email

Email contact@janusworks.com with the subject Colors account deletion. Send it from the email address used for your Colors account and say that you want your account and all cloud data deleted. We may ask you to verify ownership before processing the request. Never send your password.

Email a deletion request

If you cannot access that email address, contact us and explain the issue. You can also request deletion of specific cloud data while keeping your account; describe what you want removed. Requests sent here are reviewed by our support team.

Delete from the app

Open Settings → Your quiet corner (your account) and sign in if needed.
Open Delete data and enter your account password.
Choose Delete account and cloud data, then confirm.

Export a backup first if you want to keep your work. An accepted in-app request immediately blocks cloud access. Cleanup continues on our server even if you close or uninstall the app; the cleanup job normally runs every 15 minutes and retries if a service is temporarily unavailable.

What is deleted and what remains

Deleted: your Firebase sign-in account and email, cloud coloring attempts and progress, favorites, and any reflections you chose to sync. These are kept until you request deletion.
Security record: a minimal deleted-account ID, deletion status and cleanup time remain indefinitely to stop stale devices from recreating deleted data. This record has no email, artwork or reflection content.
On-device copies and exports: account deletion does not erase them. Use Delete data → Clear this device in Colors, clear Android app storage, or uninstall. Remove exported files from their saved locations separately.
Support correspondence: deletion-request messages are retained for up to 12 months after the last message, except when a limited record is required for legal or security reasons.
Optional measurement: Colors analytics events have a two-month retention period; crash and diagnostic data are retained for up to 90 days. These use installation identifiers, not your Colors account ID, and account deletion does not erase those separate records. Contact us about a related data request.

Deleting an account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. If you have one, cancel it in Google Play. Purchase records required for refunds, tax or legal obligations may be retained separately.
